Two of our units are separate from the main corridor allowing shy cats their own quieter space.
Cats are very adaptable. Some are curious about their new environment. Some are less sure and are quiet initially and may not eat for the first 24 hours. During the first visit your cat doesn’t know that you’re coming back so we give them lots of attention if that’s what they want or just reassurance. They adapt and on return visits they look for their own unit. Some even get huffy if they can’t their usual room.
Yes. Administering insulin injections or metacalm or other medication is no problem.
We have your vet’s information and would contact them initially as they know your pet. Our own veterinary practice are perfectly happy to attend to any of our visitors if necessary.
No. We provide everything your cat needs. If your cat requires a special diet then we would ask you to provide that. You are welcome to bring anything you feel would make your cat happy and relaxed, a blanket or toy. I would say please don’t bring anything you don’t want to lose as toys are quite often left behind in the excitement of reuniting with your pet. I do try to pack for the cats on the last day of their visit.
We keep a variety to cater for all tastes. Whiskas, Felix as Good as it Looks, Whiskas and Go Cat Biscuits. Treat balls and biscuit towers provide a bit of entertainment too.
Our units, floors and surfaces are cleaned using Safe4 animal safe disinfectant.
